Hurun China Rich List was first published in 1999, Hurun is a research, media and investments group. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Hurun Report. The " Hurun U Series" started with from China Under30s in 2017 and has now covered eight countries. Under30s represents the startup phase, Under35s the growth phase, and Under40s the relatively mature phase.

The "Hurun U Series" has become the largest list of entrepreneurs globally, using unified standards worldwide, including China, the UK, Canada, India, and the United States, with nearly 2000 young entrepreneurs from five countries making it to the " Hurun U Series" list. Hurun Under30s has always been walking with young entrepreneurial pioneers, recording their growth with the list and inspiring achievements.

We have witnessed these entrepreneurial pioneers opening up unprecedented entrepreneurial paths with inspiration and courage. In China, there are Bilibili Chairman and CEO Chen Rui, who opened the era of "bullet comment" on the video portal, and Wang Ning, the founder of KEEP, who leads the new era of fitness; in the UK, there are Susie Ma from the skincare company Tropic Skincare, and Phil and Tom Beahon brothers from the sportswear brand Castore.

They have broken the industry pattern with extraordinary innovation and leadership, leading their companies to become "Cheetah", "Gazelle", and "Unicorn" enterprises, and even entering the Hurun Rich List series, achieving entrepreneurial legends.

Rupert Hoogewerf also said, "Computer science and management have become the most output of Chinese Under30s entrepreneurial pioneers, and Tsinghua University is still the school that cultivates the most Chinese U30 entrepreneurial pioneers. Entrepreneurs with overseas study backgrounds account for 40%, an increase of 10% from last year, among which the United States, the UK, and Canada are the most favored destinations for Chinese U30 entrepreneurial pioneers to study abroad. And the University of London, the University of California, and the University of Toronto in Canada are the most favored overseas universities."

Hurun Under30s’ observation started from the beginning of these entrepreneurial pioneers: "The average age of entrepreneurship in China is 29 years old, and these people have made pleasing achievements before the age of 30. Their entrepreneurial direction is focused on emerging industries, which is quite different from the manufacturing and real estate industries that are most common on Hurun rich list. On our China Under30s list this year, just over one in five of the Hurun China Under30s this year are women, the highest percentage in seven years. This compares with 30% from our Hurun UK Under30s and Hurun US Under30s, 20% from our Hurun Canada Under30s and only 5% from our Hurun India Under30s.
